My what a happy day...

Esther woke up with a gentle spirit and a happy heart this morning (I attribute it to getting enough sleep). She was waiting patiently for me to wake up and once I was she then waited for Ezra to open his eyes. She touched his hand and said, "His little hand is so soft." And then said, "He looks so cute with his binky." So I knew today would have to have something special about it for Esther to be in such a great mood. As luck would have it, it was a perfect day for a walk. So we decided to walk up the hill aways and go visit the fountains at the Temple. I think the last time we went was in November, there definitely wasn't any snow. I had to give Esther strict instructions about not getting wet, because I knew she would get to cold, and she listened! The weather was downright springy and it felt so good to sit and watch Esther run around the fountain while me and Ezra watched and soaked up the sun. Note to self: I should do this every day so she can get good and tired for her naps. I believe what they say about seasonal depression disorder and how if you can get a little sun now and then it helps. Anyway suffering through this dratted cold has made me long for spring that much more, and I'm starting to go crazy waiting for it! Although come to think of it the older I get I've gotten to at least have an appreciation for winter, because if nothing else it makes the spring that much sweeter. I also like the black trees against winter skies. At any rate as usual once I get typing (or talking) I tend to wind up in a different direction than where I was headed.
So in this picture Esther was making the fountains rise with her hands, the other thing she liked to do was "grow" with them, squatting down when they were small and slowly standing up as they grew tall too. That kid really is fun to watch when I make the time to do so.
