Esther's obsessions
So here we see an example of one of the funny little things Esther has been doing lately whenever she is exposed to toys that are not her own. She sorts them and she usually adds narration while she is doing so. For example while she was doing this she was explaining that she was putting the bears to bed. The other little girl in the picture was just some random child floating through the library. She was mildly interested in what Esther was doing but when she overheard her talking about, "putting her bears to bed" she felt it her duty to point out that they were not all bears, pointing to the black and white one. Esther looked at it and said, "That's a cow." I don't know if this is normal toddler behavior or not, but it is semi entertaining, at least right now. Aunt Abby works with underdeveloped toddlers and babies and she keeps saying she thinks Esther has some sort of anxiety disorder. I suppose only time will tell, but to me right now, she is a toddler and I am not about to start diagnosing her for mental disorders yet.
