Aunt Abby to the rescue!
I think it safe to say that the last 24 hours have been more mentally tiring than I can really remember with either of my children, although I know many parents have to deal with much worse or maybe the same but all the time. Recognizing that makes me feel very grateful that my children have been so healthy. It also makes me feel like a big baby even mentioning their common colds, but that is my only form of therapy I suppose. Our one bright spot was that Aunt Abby risked her own health and drove and hour and 15 minutes to come and cheer Esther bug up. Also our friend Missy dropped by with a papa murpheys pizza that was very delicious and made dinner much easier (thanks again Missy!) It is so nice to have loved ones there for you when you need them most! Thankfully I am almost sure that Esther has come round the bend, the first half of last night was awful she was waking up every 40 min or so crying and sounding like she was in pain but refusing anything we would give her. Finally, after forcing some antibiotics down her throat (I have never heard her scream like that before) she conked out on the couch and I stayed out there with her. She slept until the morning and she seems that much better just having a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. We were going to take her back to the Dr's today because her fever seemed like it was lasting too long, but this morning her temp was lower and she is also coughing much much less. Unfortunately me and Brock both woke up with sore throats and stuffy noses, but I am sure we'll survive too. Thanks again to all our loving family and friends for there support!
