Friday.....trip to SLC......car sickness and double decker bikes
We went down to SLC on Friday because one of Brock's former coworkers was retiring and he thought it would mean a lot to her to meet the kids. On the way there Esther started to say she felt sick, and the last two times she said that in the car, she threw up as soon as the car stopped. We're starting to wonder if she might not suffer from carsickness once and a while. Anyway we didn't have any extra clothes for her to wear if she did yak so I gave her the only container I could find in the car, a wipes box. Luckily she didn't throw up this time. But the way she kept her head in it for I don't know, 5 minutes made me laugh a little bit. Maybe it correlates with an almost empty stomach too. So we got some curry before we went to visit Brock's coworkers. After our visit we went to aunt lizzi's place and just hung around, watched Ghostbuster's, you know the usual. But on the way home, we saw something we'd never seen before. When we were stopped at a red light a man/boy/guy was walking across the street with what looked like one bike frame welded an top of another, in other words a really tall bike. It was so funny to see his hands pushing the handlebars way above his head. At first we thought he was walking it because it was to tall for him to ride, so we felt a little sorry for him (while making fun of him, just a bit). But then when he got to the other side and turned down the road zhoop, just like that he was up up and away! I tried to get a picture of him while he was closer but all I got was the car passing in front of us. I should have taken a picture when he was walking past us but I was too chicken. I want to know how he dismounts that beast. I know how I would.....timber!!! Flat on my side just like a tree. This ties in first place with my other bizarre SLC bike sighting (last picture)- Peter Pan on his bike on Halloween day.
God bless big cities and their wackadoos.
